A garbled man voice said "This is to inform you that we have renewed your antivirus security .... have charge you $199 and within 24 hours you will see a charge from V-Tech Solution ... if you want to cancel the subscription and want a refund, then please call 251-301-1203. Cancellation should be done within the 48 hours upon receiving the confirmation call. This is James Martin, Customer Relationship Manager. This is definitely a scam. I didn't call back (to foolishly give them my credit card number, etc.). I don't have any antivirus security subscription.

Got a call from this number on a weekday morning. Had the recorded male voice saying it was from Service Canada and that I would be arrested and needed to speak to a police officer right away. I decided to try them. I pressed 1 and a lady who sounded Filipino answered pretending to be Service Canada. I said "Hey fraudster, thanks for your scam call" and she hung up right away. An apartment was listed on craigslist for rent. It did not have pictures. He sent me the pictures by email. But this guy was a scammer. He had copied someone else’s apartment listing and advertised it as his own. When I contacted him, He immediately started to communicate from a personal email and not on the Craigslist servers. He claimed to be a Christian Reverend who is a missionary out of the country. He used alot of religious lingo. He spoke broken English. When I showed interest in his property, he insisted I transfer money to his account so he could mail me the keys. One of the numbers from which he texted me was this number (732 338 7664). He became very pushy. I had the address of the advertised building except for the apartment number. I contacted the building and his name and information did not exist. I realized he is a scammer. The next day I saw an ad for the same apartment on kijiji. I checked with the building and this was the real listing which the scammer had copied. As the days went by the scammer became more and more aggressive, insisting that I must send him the cash immediately. I asked him for the apartment number and he didn’t give it to me but he immediately removed the craigslist ad for the apartment.
