An apartment was listed on craigslist for rent. It did not have pictures. He sent me the pictures by email. But this guy was a scammer. He had copied someone else’s apartment listing and advertised it as his own. When I contacted him, He immediately started to communicate from a personal email and not on the Craigslist servers. He claimed to be a Christian Reverend who is a missionary out of the country. He used alot of religious lingo. He spoke broken English. When I showed interest in his property, he insisted I transfer money to his account so he could mail me the keys. One of the numbers from which he texted me was this number (323 647 3855). He became very pushy. I had the address of the advertised building except for the apartment number. I contacted the building and his name and information did not exist. I realized he is a scammer. The next day I saw an ad for the same apartment on kijiji. I checked with the building and this was the real listing which the scammer had copied. As the days went by the scammer became more and more aggressive, insisting that I must send him the cash immediately. I asked him for the apartment number and he didn’t give it to me but he immediately removed the craigslist ad for the apartment. I stopped communication with him and he texted me from several other numbers to reconnect: 440 426 9236 732-338-7664 779-228-3481
