Nuisance Scam
Received a call from this number from someone who claimed to be an insurance agent. Left no voice mail, but also sent a text asking me if I had purchased a Truck recently. I have not ! I called back twice, no answer “ mailbox full “ I sent text back to question “ No “ I decided to call the insurance company and ask for the name of the person they claimed to be. He said that he didn’t not call me, different area code also. I explained someone was impersonating him. Claiming to be him, from his business office. While on the phone, the 818 number called me back, saying that they were investigating something with the dmv …. He claimed to be the insurance agent again. I told him, o you’re not. I have the real person on the other line. What’s this all about I asked. I told him I was going to call police, and file a report With both of these numbers. Something strange is going on ! As soon as I called out the impersonator he said that the person was his buddy ? Why was he using his buddy’s information from insurance agent !? Insurance agent and I talked, he didn’t seem that concerned that someone was using his name ?
