I was also told that my Geek Squad membership was being automatically renewed. And to call them to cancel it. I told them I had no idea what they were talking about and asked what account they charged. I was told to open my pc so the membership could be deactivated from their end. Something fishy here! Told him to have a good day and hung up

Email from Geek Squad indicating my membership had expired so they automatically renewed it for $249.99. To cancel, call 888-212-0175. I called them and asked them what company they were with and they hung up on me.

Neutral Scam
Received email just like the other people mentioned. I called the real Geek Squad and they said the email is not from them. Called the number and finally got through and he stated it is a very lengthy process to cancel and we needed to submit all of this additional info. I called him out on being a scam and he hung up on me. I reported him to Geek Squad. They asked to email abuse@bestbuy.com

Received email saying they will automatically renew my subscription to "Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection Fire Wall & Network Protection" for $249.99 unless I call the 800 number. The fake email is being sent by cyber criminals who are attempting to trick their potential victims into giving them access to their computers, and stealing their account credentials, personal and financial information.

said they were from the geek squad and I had an automatic renewal to stop the renewal they needed the my credit card number so I wouldn't be charged
