My mom got an email purporting to be an order from Amazon.com for a $599.99 computer, and the shipping address was not her address. She did not place an order for anything on Amazon. The email states "If you did not place this order, please contact us at +1 800-711-2785" I just called the number and a gentleman / scammer answers the phone as Amazon Customer Service. I had my mom check her Amazon account, and nothing was ordered. I don't know what their end game is here, but I guess at some point that they will ask you for your credit card so that they can "refund" the "purchase" At that point there will probably be purchases made on your credit card.

I received three text from this organization stating someone was trying to use my card in Texas at Walmart, someone was had enrolled my card in Samsung Apple Pay, and bank fraud early detection. One attempt at calling me by phone. I did not answer texts or call. I called my bank followed the their instructions. All of this activity occurred within 30 minutes of ignoring the call.
